2 duck trading company was started by Tessa Bradford when she came back to Sydney from living in south western France. She loved the baskets and going to markets in France and knew they would be great in Sydney where people were starting to get into the market way of life. When it was time to pack up her basket and spend more time in the garden she approached Miriam and Martine at frenchclass to continue the baskets.
Martine has grown up with the classic market baskets from her childhood in France and Miriam had fallen in love with them during her time in southern France, so frenchclass happily expanded and joined forces with 2 Duck Trading company to become the French market basket specialists. So in addition to our range of French gourmet food we are now selling an exclusive range of authentic French market baskets, French linen and Phoebe Rose hats.
Working with a French company we source the styles that are found throughout France and look so chic when French cooks do their rounds at the local markets. All the classic baskets are made of date palm leaf. They are fashioned into a range of lovely shapes and sizes for all your carrying needs.
